Immediate Need: Canvassing businesses for donations. We have a long list of past donors to approach. The more volunteers we have, the shorter the list of stops/calls each person will need to make.

HV Community Partners After Prom Committee is looking for new volunteers to join us at our After Prom meetings to help plan the 2026 After Prom Party.

Each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving the Hoosic Valley Community gathers at the Schaghticoke Town Hall to remember our loved ones during the holiday season. Trees are purchased and decorated uniquely in the honor of a loved one who is no longer here with us.

The Radiance of the lights shine through offering us a sense of peace. This tradition can provide a sense of connection and continuity, allowing family and friends to come together to honor their loved ones. During the ceremony we announce the names of who the trees are in memory of, songs are sung, poems are read and at the conclusion of our ceremony the lights are lit simultaneously to create a glow of radiant lights.

The Hoosic Valley Harvest Festival is held on the last Saturday of September each year.

This event includes:

• Children's activities, with children's games, pumpkin crafts, face painting and more.
• Food Vendors, Live Music, Craft Vendors, local farms who sell all your fall needs, including apples and pumpkins.
• Hoosic Valley Central School Classes and organizations are often in attendance as well.
• The Melrose Mile, a fun run/walk for youth where prizes are awarded at a ceremony during the festival.
